Показать описание
The video is a piano tutorial about the three types of minor scales.
The instructor, Warren McPherson, discusses the natural minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor scales.
He emphasizes the relationship between major and minor scales and mentions the concept of relative minor.
The natural minor scale retains the notes of its relative major scale with no alterations.
The harmonic minor scale involves a raised seventh, while the melodic minor scale uses a raised sixth and seventh when ascending, restoring them when descending.

So many techniques and scales books only teach the scales independent of how they are usable in music. In your video I see how the different scales work musically. Huge difference! You're the absolute best teacher I've seen ❤

I've watched so many tutorials on minor scale, and your's is the most fluent, and comprehensive one.
Amazing work, Youtube is in debt of how many subscribers you have; you deserve so much more!

Thank you very much for the video, I can't stress just how grateful I am!

Watching your videos give any student the motivation to continue to learn. The way you explain music theory is absolutely amazing. You make things that are difficult to understand so simple. I have never seen such a clear explanation of difficult concepts, especially for beginner learners. Thanks, Warren.

That’s why I will always watch your videos. I’ve watched this video once before, but I understand the minor scale better now. That parallel minor technique is 🔥 🔥

Such a good teacher. I was finally ready for this lesson. I saved it in my favorites a while back so that I could come back and I'm glad I did!

Wow! Thank you, Warren. Another very clear lesson. I am just at the point of learning about these three minor scales. Your explanation was very helpful and not one that I had found in other locations. I'm looking forward to being skilled enough someday "to borrow" chords. That's my real goal: composition. A lofty goal for a beginner, but one that seems doable with your approach. Thank you.

This is the first video I have seen of yours. By far one of the best instructional styles I have seen. Thank you very much! You have explained these concepts in a way that is clear, simple and easy for me to understand. This will definitely improve my playing and greatly increased my knowledge of musical theory! Thank you!
