GTA IV on the Intel ARC B580 - Playable or Terrible?

Today we're once again taking a look at the performance of GTA 4 on PC, this time with Intel's latest mainstream graphics card, the ARC B580.
Will the gameplay experience be smooth on this GPU, or will previous problems remain?

I would like to see DX9 titles tested, but not just AAA titles. I want to see titles which Intel won't know in advance that they are most likely going to be tested by larger tech youtubers.

You might want to consider testing this game again with some mods installed. GTA 4 's PC port is horrible, but modders have fixed the majority of the issues. Install FusionFix, Various Fixes, and DXVK. Once you install FusionFix, you'll get a notice in the settings menu to keep the view distance at 25 and the detail distance at 31. Maxing out these settings causes major frame pacing fluctuations and breaks the game's ability to smoothly fade in LODs and breaks the procedurally generated grass and trash. This game will not run properly will all settings maxed out, even on a 4090

If you want to have the best posible experience with GTA IV on PC use these mods:

- DXVK
- Fusion Fix: Install this one first because you'll need the Modloader folder.
- Radio Restore
- Various Fixes
- Console Visuals
- Project 2DFX.

YES you should definitely do a test with older games. You could even do 1440p and 4k. I play a lot of older games so I'm curious how well they handle 4k. Love your videos man! very budget oriented.

I miss the vehicle damage model from GTA IV. GTA V was a huge step backwards in that regard.

The best way to play GTA4 is actually playing it on SteamOS on steam deck or something similar, ..i dunno how to describe it cause it feels like Proton compatibility layer fixes the stuttery and other issues and make the game play more smoothly than on windows
