Mumbai Coastal Road Project

Introducing the South Section of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project. Stretching from Princess Street at Marine Drive to the Worli end of Bandra-Worli Sea Link, this 9.98 km road will have 4 lanes on each side with a dedicated lane for BRTS and Ambulance. There will be four interchanges in the south section of the coastal road at Marine Drive, Amarsons, Haji Ali and Worli. A 2.31 km main bridge, along with 13km long Interchange Bridge, the South Section will have a 95 Ha Reclamation and 70 Ha Recreational area with a 20 M wide and 6km long Promenande. 1800 car parking lots at 4 dedicated locations is also a key highlight of this section.

It's fantastic project. Govt. Should focus on completing it on time because many infra projects in the country don't complete in time. So complete it within deadline it will be even more fantastic .

With such high class roads, please ensure we have an upgraded traffic police and fire brigade unit specialized in traffic related accidents for quick response on the coastal road. This would require world class equipment like hydraulic cutters etc..

The project itself is very fascinating. However, the purpose of this project was to reduce traffic congestion problems. As far as my EYES see everyday, being lived in Mumbai for so long, it seems that the government projects are more focused towards the City and not the Suburbs, which is confusing because traffic problems in the suburbs are horrific. We don't even need fancy roads there, just good, wide roads and footpaths without obstructions.

Hope its as good as it looks cause even normal roads r not maintained by corrupt corporators... it seems like the projects where Builders show u 15 storey Buildings with all greenery around and within 3 years u have a 30-40 storey tower infront of you to block your view
