Ive totally done the concealer on the lips before. Another good one that works well in conjunction with it is a touch of matte blue/purple eye shadow under your eyes. It will give a  very hollow and sickly look, Your boss will just tell you to go home.

tip I've seen for getting hair unstuck from things like that, rat-tail comb, and use the thin metal part and just keep going between the hair and the brush gently.
