An investigation is underway after a man's body was discovered in a barrel in Malibu Monday.

The state park employee and lifeguard touched the outside. The lifeguard also removed the lid.
The crime scene could be anywhere.
Hopefully there is still evidence inside.

The drum was floating in the ocean and pulled to shore. How does that beach then become a crime scene? I would go the route of picking up the drum and transporting it to a controlled environment for processing. Ridiculous that they would even suggest doing that work on the beach.
