Sorry for the delay everyone. Hurricane Ian kinda threw us for a loop here in Florida.

I read an exchange online in which someone asked why the catastrophe that killed all the dinosaurs didn't kill people, too. Someone replied, "They practiced social distancing. They stayed millions of years apart."

Every year during storm season a nest is blown from the tree in our backyard. We contacted a bird rescue about and they said not only is it ok to put the babies back in the nest, you can also make them a fake nest if theirs is destroyed. We used a plastic coffee can with some grass, leaves, and twigs, fixed it as high as we could in the tree, put the babies in it, and within a couple hours the parents are back and everyone is fine. Birds still use the coffee can nest and they don't seem to get blown out of that one

I used to dog train professionally. The idiom/saying, “can’t teach an old dog new tricks” was a thorn in my side. I would have to explain you can teach an old dog new tricks but if it’s a learned behavior it just takes a bit longer to break the old habit and establish the new habit. Sometimes there is a customer that just won’t let sleeping dogs lie and pushes back…then we (dog trainers) have our work cut out for us.
I am SO glad y’all are back to it; missed y’all’s videos! ❤

The story I got about gum was that if you swallow it it wraps around your heart. Even as a child I knew that the stomach and the heart weren't connected, and it (along with Santa) taught me to be sceptical of what I was told. Especially by parents, they're the worst.

If you throw a Hostess Twinkie from the top of the Empire State Building, you’ll be out one Hostess Twinkie.

One reason people wait 24 hours to report a missing person is because some cops tell people that. Whether its because some cops are ignorant or lazy is unknown, but some do say that. Some cops will act immediately and like you said, some people are saved by quick acting cops and sometimes people are lost and it is unknown if things would've been different if the cop wasn't lazy or ignorant.

Another reason for Napoleon's height error is that the French foot and inch that was in use at the time are slightly larger than what we use today. So, his height when recorded by French standards would have been perceived by the English as being shorter than he actually was.

My favorite sense that is rarely mentioned is proprioception. It is the sense of self location and or movement. Touching your nose with your eyes closed is an example.

My favorite is wrapping your child in layers of clothes while you only wear a sweater cuz you were always told that "being cold makes you sick"

#13…As a former 911 operator and police dispatcher, I would run out of fingers how many times I had callers tell me they waited 24 hours to report a missing person because that’s what they thought they were supposed to do. My reply, “Absolutely not!” while thinking, Nooo!! 😮

As a history buff, thank you for talking about the myth of Napoleon Bonaparte being short, it drives me nuts 🤣

#7 Penny dropped from the Empire State Building was recently debunked in Derek's video on Veritasium. Quite an interesting watch, and as usual a great list!
