Just found one in the box at a thrift store. I’m always cautious putting rare tapes in a rewinder, always afraid it will destroy it. But handy for everyday tapes.

The problem I have with these rewinders is that they don't have Tape End Sensors like most VCRs, where the tape rewinding slows down as the tape approaches the beginning, if it's a one way rewinder. Without those sensors, trying to rewind a 30 to 40 year old tape in one of these can cause the tape to snap off the roll inside. I guess one could stop the rewinder before it reaches the beginning of the tape, but if you have a lot of tapes, you don't want to watch each one for that to happen.
