This whole thing just makes me so happy. It reminds me of the time me and my FF14 group all met up IRL for the first time to go mountain climbing in Colorado, and then going to NYC the next year to visit more of our group. It’s just so wild meeting people that you’ve known for years primarily through virtual avatars and seeing them face to face for the first time.

I think an easier way to approach this would be to agree on a false name to recognize the other (so, two false names required, like military countersigns) and one holds out a sign for them like they do at airports.

Would love to imagine a scenario where Mumei is holding a sign that says "DR. TAKO" and Ina walks up to her and says "Ah, you must be Ms. Forgor!".
I'm not that creative, so I'm sure people can come up with some much better examples than me!
