They didn't even offer it at my local McDonald's. They should force them to participate. That being said, I found that I can get 2 double cheeseburgers or 1 double cheeseburger and a 4 piece nugget, large fries, and a large drink for about $6 if I order on the app twice. It nets me points for free McDonald's. One interesting thing I noticed at my local McDonald's is how empty it's been for the past few months. Strangely, it used to be packed during meal rush, but it's almost completely empty nowadays. People are pulling back big time.

Sorry to see the prices higher in California.
I just got the $5 meal today at McDonalds in NC. I used the app and was able to upgrade the small drink to large, for only 29 cents extra. So it totalled to around $5.29 before tax. But still under $6 with tax.

The minimum wage jump is a factor but I'm fine with that, the issue is that they are taking in MASSIVE profits and keeping it for themselves. Price gouging grocery stores is maybe the dumbest idea I've ever heard a presidential candidate say given their tiny profit margin %'s and the fact that it would just cause government food lines, but I'd be all for price gouging these fast food restaurants because they have insane margins and keep hiking up the prices.

The dbl qtr pounder meal I got last week was over $15... that thing is worth about $9 at most and they would still make a profit from it. Greedy fast food companiees.

McDonald's $5 meal deal is definitely better than Burger King's $5 meal which gives you joke size fries and drink and Burger King won't even let you swap the fries with onion rings without upcharging despite being the same price.
