More info came from an IGN interview that I must’ve missed that essentially disproves Theory 1 😭 they basically said Frank Stone is irredeemably bad, but they said this is going to be a showcase on how people in the “real world” react to discovering that The Entity exists.

I’m wondering if Frank is possibly the first killer to be taken by the entity. A lot of things seen in the trailer we know is used in the Entity’s realm such as Four Survivors, Hooks, Generators, One Killer, and other thing I may not have caught. I am thinking that Frank Stone is a man who had a huge part of the story of DBD and why the realm is the way it is. Super excited to see more tho

it would be sick if by the end of the game we saw a character or Characters enter a thick fog, eluding that they entered the Entity's realm since Frank Stone appears to be being influenced by the Entity (drawings in the journey, and the big red thing in the sky that could be the entity manifesting) and then have them appear in DBD a day or a few days after the game release.

And even if they dont enter the realm, elude to them having been in the realm previously

Honestly? i think Frank is responsible for making all the generators in the realm. Maybe the hooks too, if he descended into madness

I noticed that at 1:10 of the Stone Frank trailer you can hear someone scream the name "Jack"
I don't know DBD lore very well but is this name of any importance at all?

I liked your first theory because it reminded me of the fact that the entity thrives off emotions of the survivors fear and the killers thrill of the hunt, maybe frank was coerced into doing these actions by the entity as a trial to see how he would do the n the entity’s realm

I think the scene where Frank comes out of the shadows for the camera was the same moment The entity took him. The camera was left there and shut it self down. Where it was found maybe forty years later by the news survivors who watched it.

I believe they used the word "casting" in the title because Franks a metal worker and in that industry there's a thing called metal casting where you melt metal down and mould it into the shape you intend which is similar to how the entity moulds killers into what it wants so I believe it's a play on words but may also give clues as to Frank's relationship with the entity because he seems plagued by guilt just based of what we've seen in the trailers.

The MacMillan Estate is in Washington State, which is just up north from Oregon. We may see the abandoned estate, considering there was nobody to take over it after the murder of MacMillan Sr. (the one who the Phalanx Bone offering belongs) and the capture of Evan, his son, aka the Trapper in the Entity's realm. It would be really cool to see the entire estate combined. The Ironworks, the Mineshaft, the Coal Tower and the Suffocation Pit. No Shelter Woods, fuck the SM.

You deduced quite a lot of things considering how little material was made public 🤩 to me it seems like both your theories make sense. The second one seems more interesting from a psychological and conceptual perspective, but the play on words from your first theory with the casting of stones like in the bible I feel makes a bit more sense than "casting" as in casting an actor in a movie.
Another thing that could be more in favor to your first theory of him not really being to blame (at least not completely, or him having been forced or corrupted by the Entity) could be his face in the poster itself. Not the shot from the actual trailer where he raises his head slowly, but the more clear version at 5:55 . This might just be me, but I feel like here he doesn't just look dead inside like in the previous shot, but more like sad and resigned. Here we have more light cast on his face and we see this almost tranquil shade of gray or blue in his eye that I feel makes him look way more human, less monstrous and mysterious. I'm pretty sure it was an artistic decision here to give you a very very small and vague glimpse into his character by having that broken visor, otherwise they could have just kept his eyes completely hidden like the Trapper's and called it a day.

Supermassive games loves a twist, so while Frank is considered irredeemably bad, he has something else going on that we likely won’t expect. He obviously has a strong connection to the entity so I’m hoping we get to see her interact with the real world instead of just snatching people. If we do get to explore how people feel when discovering the entity for the first time, I think we can expect that it drives them mad. My theory is that Frank discovers the entity and begins filming himself as an audition (basically theory two), but because of the terror inflicted on the town I doubt there are survivors, and he possibly rigs or misunderstands the trials to ensure no one escapes death which probably rubs the entity the wrong way, she’s not one to reward especially bad plays (slugging). Frank may have to prove himslf to get into the realm, or this will be the first time there are survivors of Frank Stone’s horrors.

I believe they use the word "Casting" in the sense of Spells, like "casting a spell", perhaps Frank Stone is the one summoning the Entity to our world and/or he being the very first Killer/Servant for the Entity.

maybe frank stone trys to proof the the entity exist by showing how the entity takes people and he basicly has no coice and has to kill people so that he can film himself getting abducted by the entity
aslo at he end when we see frank with the entity behind him it looks like he is crying
