In today’s video, Jessica explains why many students get stuck at band 5 on IELTS Reading.

Firstly, if what you are doing isn’t increasing your score- stop doing it!

For example, if you’re doing practice tests every day, and your score isn’t going up, you MUST prepare in a different way. Just doing test practice every day rarely helps anyone get a 7+ on IELTS.

Increase your reading comprehension and positive mindset around reading. Read a book or magazine in English that interests you for 20 minutes every day.
Learn the strategies needed to find all 40 answers in 60 minutes. You DO NOT have time to read every word and get all the answers.
Only do test practice once you’ve learned all the Reading strategies!
