In this video, we’re going to talk about the therapeutic benefits of silica. The form of silica we’re going to cover is called orthosilicic acid. Certain parts of the body have high amounts of silica, especially the aorta, trachea, bones, and skin. As people age, these parts of the body become rough, rigid, and inelastic. But, silica may help slow down this process.

Benefits of silica:
• It can stimulate collagen type 1
• It can stimulate skin fibroblasts
• It can help bone mineralization (bone density)
• It can help decrease blood pressure
• It’s involved in calcification of the bone, and it has similar effects to vitamin D
• It chelates aluminum
• It can prevent the loss of skin elasticity

Two great sources of silica are:
• Mineral water
• Vegetables

I get silica from a bamboo extract supplement, high in silica and very cost effective. My hair and nails grow like weeds when I’m taking this stuff!

It helps to strengthen the connective tissues of the brain, nerve cells, and spinal cord thereby improving memory and helping to prevent memory loss. Silica also helps stabilize the pancreas's release of insulin! If you want your nails,  skin, and hair to be healthy, turn to silica👍

Never taken silica before and wanted to know if it's worth it, are there any useful benefits and learnt to buy Orthosilicic Acid. Thank you Dr Berg as can count on you when it comes to keeping healthy and up-to-date.

Q-silica liquid worked for me. My ragged peeling nails hardened in 3 days. Now they grow like claws, long and hard. They never split
Or chip. So happy with the result. I’m 72 years old

Nettle, Horsetail & Oat Wheat Grasses are some of the highest plant based sources of Silica. Silica (and Magnesium) is used to create Calcium. That's how Cows can make so much milk whilst just eating green grass. High in Silica and Magnesium (from Chlorophyll).

Great! You have made a video about silica that I yesterday mentioned about it on your previous video about osteoporosis. So I noticed that people have been asking about diatomaceous earth food grade (DE). The simple method is add a fullspoon of DE in a container gallon fill it up with water, let it settle down to the bottom that takes 3 to 5 days. After that, you drink the water but be careful not to disturb the DE at the bottom, that water contains trace amount of orthosilicic acid. The reason why this method is important is because DE contains 80 to 90% of silicon dioxide, when it gets in contact with water, it becomes an organic silica form called orthosilicic acid. Same thing how stomach acid forms organic silica when ingesting silicon dioxide but it is poorly absorbed. So there you have it. And if you want to look for herbs that has high source silica, look for bamboo stalks silica extract or butcher's broom.

If you want iron bones like on the movie Avatar what you want is organic silica which the body transmutes into calcium. (And don't weaken your bones by consuming carbonated drinks). Organic silica is found in young tender plants before the stalks get strong. Horsetail picked in spring when it looks like Asparagus is the top source and alfalfa sprouts is the most readily available. I eliminated 10 years of back pain within weeks and it helps reduce joint pains. The lining in chicken and duck eggs is almost pure organic silca which the embryo converts into calcium in the chick. This explains how chicks have 4x the calcium as can be found in the egg. The lining from duck eggs is more easily removed and consumed. Dr. William Jackson covers this in his 2015 book Life More Abundant..

I supplement Horsetail which has tons of silica. It was a missing link with my hair health. I was doing everything right with vitamins, trace minirals etc. which had restored about 90% of my hair health, but the horsetail was the final piece of the puzzle. Filled in the annoying but noticeable patches that were still left rather quickly.

I am recently very interested in herbs, and especially in weeds! So I took a deep dive and first up was a weed called Cleavers, a perennial favorite of human and canine herbalists. Also called stickyweed because it's like velco and grows everywhere. Side note: UK uses it a lot in their holistic canine blends but you cannot find anything here is the states. I harvested about 6 handfuls this weekend in a secluded area and rinsed it well. Then I juiced it and got about 8 oz of rich dark green juice. I take it 4xd, just a tsp in water. My dogs get it 2xd. It is known for increasing lymphatic circulation, which is why I was interested. BUT it is also rich in Silica and VIt C! It's nice to know that there is something organic and free out there that is so beneficial. Thank you Dr. Berg for giving all the benefits of this amazing mineral. Good to know K2 pairs well with it.
