I’ve been a henna artist also, those mass produced henna cones are simply just filled with chemicals to preserve or change the stain color and some of them hair dye. Real henna will just have a type of mahogany brown color stain and should be always stored in cold places or frozen to prevent oxidation. The stain develops between 24 to 48 hours after the application. If it’s natural it should not have any reaction like the tingling sensation you just experienced. If henna is going to be used on pregnant women the paste should be mixed only with Bulgarian Lavender Essential oil, water, organic sugar and organic lawsonia inermis powder. The first minutes after removing the paste from the skin it looks orange but as the stain develops slowly by oxidizing the skin keratin it will start to show the brownish type of color.

Dude! Don't use it on lips .
It will give pretty orange shade but after 2-3 days it will stain brown which isn't good... So just use tints and stainer .

Lips can't burn with henna, on the contrary, it gives a cooling sensation... It's used in hairs for coloring, nourishing, and cool off in hot summers

This is an Indian Tradition were we not only call it henna but we call it Meindi which we use sometimes for fun or to girls that are getting married ( we do it to a married girl all the way to the elbow ) and whenever I do it I ALWAYS RUIN IT and get so much bad luck with it so I don’t really do it anymore 😅😅
