I ended up buying this laptop with the I7 and 32 GB RAM. As a programmer and part time student, this does everything I need. Sound is definitely lacking, but I usually wear headphones and use an external DAC/AMP, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

I've been looking for a new laptop for over a week now, doing research everyday. I found a ton of different solid laptops, but they all had drawbacks that didn't really fit in with how I planned on using my new laptop. I have 2K and FHD laptops. At 14”, doesnt have much different. Laptop manufacturer often have batman traps, like 2k in 14”, rtx4050 with 2K 16”, soldered LPDDR, etc.

Excellent review Shahpar! My son is headed to college later this year. I've been debating between the Lenovo Slim 7i and a Macbook Air. It would be great to see a little more in-depth info on the gaming performance. It's great to hear that battery life is 10 hours.

Interesting, I've heard multiple reviewers say those were actually speakers. On the Lenovo website it says quad speakers.
