Hello, I'm Rie, a Japanese female guitarist. Currently, we are holding concerts mainly in Tokyo.
She has composed all the songs herself and has released 15 CD albums to date.

Another great reproduction of another great song: From America (Stevie Wonder) via (a very special part of) Europa (Jeff Beck) to Asia (Muses) - a journey through time and space, a fruitful encounter of different highly influential cultural spheres. And when you get as result a piece of art that is convincing and comprehensible in every respect, then you finally not only know that music is a universal phenomenon, you also have another proof that humanity is audible and that music can be a likeness of divine harmony.

It may be that this rendition stands for the genuinely female approach to soulful instrumental rock music. (Science tells us that men and women share the same feelings, but usually do express them in different ways.) Anyway here is a lot of sentiment present: Once again Miss Rie enchants with her expressive guitar tone; her perfect dynamic control makes the thematic phrases sound very organic and conversational - the listener feels intensely addressed. Miss Fukai provides a lot of atmosphere and some smooth electric piano ideas, while Miss Serita does one of her musically most satisfying bass solos.

Special job by Miss Sato whose floor tom serves as a significant and powerful acoustic separation point (finally she is the chief of protocol). And the girl is clearly in the mood: Obviously no one has noticed (or does not feel the need to mention) that shortly before song's end one of Kanade's drumstick twins says farewell. Not a severe lapse, it's rather a sign of deep musical empathy and adaptation to the general laid back appearance of the musical arrangement. The floating vibes loose the body tension - encouraging one short moment of inattention, almost irrelevant for the performance, professionally coped with by the drummer princess. - Muses are beings who bring all things to a good end, that's for sure.

Jeff Beck was the anchor of my college soundtrack. My guess is he would have been proud of this group for their interpretation of his most famous piece.
