Christopher. Great program, as always. I just got a formal letter from UHC, AARP and CMS, advising that my Appeal of their denial of claims for a service of $93, 000 for 8 days in the hospital. The letter I received reversed their denial, paid the claim and devised that the case was closed. I was so happy! Then I came by to see what was new today, but obviously there is much more to be done. Greed is the most dangerous human character trait, second only to stupidity.

I just got a letter ... my PCP has joined the "WellMed DFW Medicare ACO, LLC". I will be watching carefully to see how it affects my healthcare!

I was only shown Advantage options due to being low income. However when living in HUD housing your rent is decreased for medical expense INCLUDING premiums, copays and deductibles. So it does work for low income seniors which includes most woman in the work force due to low wages all our lives.

Chris, this is mind blowing. So, deceitful and devious, and in the future can impact seniors massively. Is there anyway to find out if you have been switched into a DCE program? I live in Florida and it looks like there are major companies in FL participating in these DCE programs. What can we do to fight this horrendous devious program?

I did my homework when I turned 65 about traditional Medicare with supplemental insurance to cover the approximately 20% out of pocket expenses that I might incur and Medicare Advantage which is nothing more than an HMO!! Now I had not heard of DCE's but just like the Advantage Plan Carriers the bottom line is profitability with far less emphasis on the quality of health services and care!! I am well aware that I pay more for a supplemental plan but in the last 5 years other than premiums I haven't had a D-N-S or any money out of pocket....Thanks for increasing my knowledge base Chris!!

Seniors on Medicare Advantage plans are now trying to get on traditional Medicare.

I was a computer programmer before I retired. This medical center I had worked for had programmers code diagnostic codes on patients before you even see a doctor. So if you cut you finger before you even see a docotor you would already have 5 to 6 diagnosis assignments to your treatment. Like if you are overweight boom a diagnosis is attached, you have high blood pressure boom a diagnosis is assigned. When all you wanted was someone to look at your cut finger. Doctors know the more they make you sick the more money they pocket.

So far I have 4 clients( I am a SHIP Counselor) who were called unsolicited on the phone and switched over to an Adv. plan but not told they couldn't keep their supplement. My co-workers have also had to deal with this and its always Humana. So then they have a procedure done and they cant figure out why their supp isn't paying!!! I have had to change them back to original IF I can find an SEP to do it with. But these folks are older and wont qualify for a supp a second time. So we hurry and get it done hoping the supp wont drop them before we get it done. Humana Adv is causing many older folks a lot of grief and worry for greed! I will never recommend them!

The DCE is a death sentence for all seniors. This is as criminal as it gets and I bet it will get worse.
