Erik, As a Medicare Agent for 10 years, I appreciate the truth you're sharing about rougue Medicare Agents. Unfortunately, there are dishonest and unethical individuals in every industry, and ours is no different. I'm glad to see the Centers for Medicare and Medicare finally realizing this problem, which worsened during the 2020 pandemic, getting control over misleading commercials and intrusive call centers.✅️💯

I’m a licensed agent and the longer I do this, the more I see the bad apples causing detriment to consumers. So much of what I do is cleaning up the mess— many times that’s transferring a consumer to the carrier an agent signed them up with to cancel a plan that hasn’t yet effectuated so they can remain on their current plan. That means no commission for me, but I can sleep at night knowing I did the right thing. I can’t tell you how many times I talk to people who have major medical issues on great plans being moved to expensive Part B Giveback plans. I cannot comprehend how agents can push plans that aren’t tailored well to benefit the consumer. I’m not the only ethical agent out there, though! There are many of us. I love that you’re spreading awareness!

I thank the Lord that I connected with an agent that cared enough to tell the truth about Advantage vs Supplement. Advantage would've been a terrible choice.

As an independent agent who offers both Supplement and Advantage plans with multiple insurers in my state, it is refreshing to know that there are others who do business in an ethical way. I have built my business organically through referrals and do not buy leads. Taking an educational approach as opposed to a sales pitch approach allows an informed decision to be made. There’s a reason something is more costly just as there’s a reason something has a very low cost. As long as the client understands this and is comfortable with the plan design, then they feel good about their decision and I can sleep at night knowing I was honest and ethical in helping them with their coverage. I appreciate the work you put into your videos and educating your viewers what to look for in an agent.

I am definitely going to contact you at your website. I wish I knew about you two years ago when I turned 65. I am a US citizen who grew up in Canada under universal health care. I am married to a British Citizen and legal resident of the USA. He spent 37 years under the British Universal Health care system. In both systems nothing changes with your health insurance when you turn 65. Both the UK and Canadian health care systems are always trying to improve their services. The news here in the USA is filled with stories about cutting Medicare and the Affordable Care Act. Every week we talk to friends in Canada and the UK who are totally confused about our "old Age health care system". Heck we are more confused than they are. Thank you for educating us and telling us about your dear friend who enjoyed fishing.

I am retiring in January 2025 at the age of 66 and will be leaving my employer's Blue Cross. I was anxious about navigating the Medicare madness, minutia, and marketing, and your videos have helped immensely - don't have to go fishing to find what I need!

Erik, I am so sorry for the loss of your good friend, Phillip. What a devastating loss, especially if it was sudden and a surprise. I like to think that he is now up in heaven fishing with the angels. I consider you to be the most upfront, genuine and honest Medicare agent that I know and if and when it is time to switch supplement companies, I will be contacting you.

The issue is insurance company is positioned between doctors and the patients. Why? This is Capitalism gone bad. And they collect premiums from the medical industry for liability insurance. Look at the bonuses executives get.
