These are great antique tools and I use mine every chance I get!!!
I'm tired of people knocking antique tools!!!

Antique tools are great collectibles and some ere very valuable!!!

The one in this video might be worth at least $50-75.00!
Some are worth even more.

Many collectors get a great sense of satisfaction from bringing old tools back to life!!!

I have done this with antique tools and antique clocks.

I was in the business of repairing antique clocks for almost 20 years.

Also I believe that if you put the drive gear in the other hole it will go faster

I have an old electric drill but I am currently using a much simpler hand drill made of plastic. I want one of these

You're supposed to put your shoulder into the curved bit at the end of the long red shaft and hold onto to wooden handles. You use your shoulder to apply downward force to help it bite and cut the material

I like the antique tools cause you really need to be a craftsman to use them correctly

If I was going to be drilling into small pieces of wood like that I would just use my 1937 Delta drill press and save wear and tear on my antique drills. 😁

Use electric when you want to and manual when you want to.

I am sure you'll find lots of people wanting to buy that manual hand drill!

I think that is a North Brothers manufacturing product also, manufactured between the late 1800s to the mid 1900s.

You have to reverse it to get the bit out, (if I remember correctly)

By the way, all devices with moving parts are mechanical weather they are manual, wind powered or electric powered, water powered, etc.

Dude you have two speeds, and if you're going to drill in to a material you're best off clamping it down.

Poor demonstration. Hand tools are so much better
