This is a brand new series on the stupidly cool 'Four On Six' by Wes Montgomery! This tune is very close to my heart as one of the tunes that got me into jazz.

For 50 years this has been my favorite piece of guitar music, & favorite guitar solo ever - specifically the Incredible Jazz Guitar version. Every phrase is embedded in my brain & I can sing it perfectly but have never been able to play it. This piece is the reason for calling myself Gminor7. Just by the way Tommy Flanagan plays an incredible, memorable, singable piano solo immediately following Wes.

Stephen, you killed it! I know you felt him when learning it. I'm gonna learn it with you! They laughed at me when I said I was gonna study Wes. Because they were my friends when they said why would you want to do that? I wanted to say what Della Reese said in Harlem Nights, "Kiss My Entire Ass!" But they're my friends and i might need them.
