Dude is smarter than 95% of the adults I’ve ever spoke to lol

something that kane said at 3:31 really caught my attention:

“people are so caught up on what’s canon and what’s not — it’s weird, like i don’t think it matters. i think everything is canon to itself.”

this is the exact mindset that i truly believe _needs_ to be more prevalent in all fandoms. let people look at their favorite media the way they want to, it’ll encourage creativity and diversity of thought. i’m glad kane didn’t let other peoples’ opinions guide his art

Every successful young creator always describes their parents as being totally chill and supportive, really makes you think.

Kane is so unbelievably level-headed and mature for his age. He speaks as if he’s an experienced adult in the film industry at only 17 years old. The Backrooms series as a whole is jaw dropping. Kudos to you, Kane.

he arguably brought the backrooms not only back to mainstream internet culture, but did it with one of the best horror video ive seen. He approached it masterfully IMO

His newest project "The oldest view: The Rolling Giant" is a utter MASTERPIECE of creative expression

As a 48 year old man, I want this lad to have full creative control. You have to recognise genius when it rears it’s head and have the fortitude to allow it to thrive. Let’s hope.

His short video was utterly captivating and brilliantly made, I saw it a year ago and it still sits with me. Even my 16 year old son can’t believe I know about it as he’s played levels on steam when i mentioned they’re making a movie about it. He spun right out that this old fart loves it.

It still amazes me how complex and interesting Kane’s idea for the back rooms is.

Something people often forget about teenagers, and don't give them credit for, is their brightness and creativity. Their creativity isn't held back by industry conventions, shareholders or working parameters, and they know what people their age would actually enjoy. You can see Kane is very bright, intelligent, aware and creative and has a strong growth mindset instead of holding himself back. Props to him, can't wait to see more of his stuff in the future

His vocabulary, phrasing, his cadence! Its so mesmerizing to hear him talk about his work and ideas. He really knows how to pull you in and keep you waiting on his every word!! I can't wait to see him grow more and more :)

He is so self aware, he knows and acknowledges that he doesnt know what he doesnt know. He seems so level headed for a kid! Kudos to his parents and to him. Also, Anthony is a great interviewer.

This kid is so smart. He talks like he's 45 with 20 years of experience at 17. He has a bright future ahead of him and I can't wait to see more of his work for years.

This is so impressive, he's so young, has such a mature vision and language. I really hope we get to see so much more.

The fact that a big company like A24 want to work with a 17 year old with a vision is very inspirational. It's mind blowing!

Kane’s got an admirable level of maturity, focus, artistic awareness, and integrity.

Most people in his position (not even accounting for his age) would crumble. From the business side to the creative side - he’s killing it. I’m rooting for his success and artistic journey wholeheartedly.

He has more creativity and brightness as a teen than most adults do in their day to day life

It's crazy that I found him when he was at around only 20k subscribers. He did VFX for the Dad channel and made his own spinoff of Town, USA and it was fantastic so proud of him!

I knew he was obviously a very clever and creative young man but I didn't expect him to be so intelligent, aware, thoughtful and level-headed. It's no wonder everyone expecting great things from him for decades to come. Good job parents!
