Carlos won the 2024 Australian Grand Prix after his appendix removal. In this video, I calculate how much time he would have gained from that weight being removed, and if it had any affect on his race. Carlos Sainz did gain some time, but lets see how much!

Interestingly, even though lighter drivers weight advantage it mostly negated by the ballast under their seat, the ballast marginally lowers the cars centre of gravity which does improve handling ever so slightly.
