I felt this tutorial very useful to update the scores of teams after each round by entering into an excel sheet and linking into the powerpoint of the quiz. thanks a lot.

Hi Kevin,
From what I noticed, when the PowerPoint slides are closed and everything needs to be "refreshed" by clicking on edit data, any way to ensure that even the PowerPoint slides are re-opened the data still can auto-update? Else I have to keep my data open for both excel and ppt to ensure the synchronization exists.

Nice Kevin.

Using this, I wonder if the dashboard you showed in previous videos should be stored in a linked ppt instead of a dedicated sheet of the xls where all the data are, simply for the global look of this dashboard you may set up with all powerpoint assets.

You didn't tell us about the xls location: I suppose this file cannot be moved cause you would break the link right?

Does it work while in fullscreen presentation mode? This would allow you to bring another kind of animation of your presentation!

Also, does this work with Word?

Hi Kevin, Thanks for your videos, they are very helpful. I have a question about how to automatically update links to images. I have a presentation with links to images that are on my server and I need them to update automatically when I change the images on the server. I have to update the images one by one. to do this, I go to file/info/edit links to files. There is a box here that can be checked for automatic update, but it won't let me do it. any ideas? Thank you

Hi Kevin, thanks for sharing these tips. Problem with Pasting Link is that the formatting is not that good although data is auto updated once excel data is updated. Problem with second option is that if a ppt has tons of charts then one has to refresh all the charts one by one, which makes it unfeasible. Although the chart looks great if we go for this option.

Kevin this is by far the best channel on YouTube I love all this new stuff! I wouldn't even know to ask for half of it as I didn't know it existed. Thank you and keep the knowledge flowing :-)

Hey Brother, I need help regarding this. I think you have seen some Top 10 type video where graph moves dynamically like 2010, 2011, 2012 what was the data. Is it possible to do same in Powerpoint?

Thanks Kevin. The whole “Excel to PowerPoint” path still feels a bit inelegant to me. What would be really helpful is having a “template link” so I could save and retain monthly iterations of Excel and PowerPoint links and keep them independent of one another. I would simply reuse the template to creat another month. Make sense? This has been a thorn in my side for a long time. Creating decks for upper management from our source workbooks takes way too much time. Any thoughts?
