My 2 cents: Grab a Behringer SF-600 for like $30 new and you've got yourself the Live at Leeds/Hull tone sorted.
I use an SG, a Catalinbread Hyperpak "Dirty Channel" (boosted with a comp or a clean boost), Boss BD-2 Keeley mod, and the SF-600. Amps are Bassbreaker 15 and Laney Cub12r.
Of the three pedals, I couldn't live without the cheapie Behringer. It's a Superfuzz for real!
