This video shows the transformation of a chain link fence when I decided to paint it black. Light sanding of any rust and then black rustoleum paint was all that was required, although painting it was extremely tedious and time consuming.

Did you have to do any specific prep work on the galvanized steel? I want to do this but read that paint does not adhere well to the galvanized steel.
