I once raised mantis from an egg case. I kept them in a terrarium. When the egg case hatched, they began to devour each other. I let some of them outside but it was still quite cold out.
The few I kept in the terrarium ate each other until there was only ONE left. I fed her every day and she grew up. She was a fascinating insect to watch. We now have mantis every year - hatching outside on their own. 😊

Good gawd, ive had big ones get angry and attack my finger and start chewing on it.... theyre quite strong for being bugs, and their arm spines and jaws can hurt!! Can you imagine the special hell that poor little frog at the end of the vid found itself in after being caught and knawed on by a mantis!?!?!

I'd hold mantis's as a kid when I went outside, but one time one bit me and my parents didn't believe me. Now I know I wasn't crazy and that it did in fact bite me.

I love mantis I keep them last 15 years keeping them, feeding them, breeding them, growing them up from the moment they hatch to full adult... They are beautiful and very good hunters I think even the best on the planet...
