How to Mount and Unmount Boss Snow Plow

Just a quick video showing how to mount and unmount a Boss snow plow to a truck. This particular plow is a 7.5' Boss Power-V XT on a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500.

Does the plow have to be connected to get the switch to work

was wondering what switch was on plow.. mine did not work when 1st got it and had to winch up the blade into position. no clue why, pulled connections apart to test, they all tested fine, plugged back in and it worked.. was going to drop blade so could service truck and wanted to avoid all that.. now that inner shoe, that must come into play here, saw no mention of that I suspected it was to hold up mount end so can drive up to it again... One of my latches is missing a spring, so unsure if will work, Right side, Left still works as intended.. thought maybe mouse got up under front cover, after a few smacks with hammer to loosen up the rust it started to work..

What year is your plow? And did it come with smart lock angle cylinders?

Mine slowly drops without even touching the down button. Anyone else have that happen to them?

my htx doesn, t  seem to pick  up high enough to get good ground clearance on my 2012  gmc 1500

Western UltraMount is better, and no switches LOL. But this design was good at one time, many years ago.

🤦‍♂️I do not know how many people I’ve told when disconnecting all u need to do is hold up on the plow connect and Disconnect and you hear clicks let go of it it will lower by it’s self

Nothing is that easy would if your not on level ground I bet it doesn't go on that easy
