Splendid job guys.
No jigs, no extensive work shop gadgets, , no documentation, manuals.
Yet these guys, keep their brains in their hands, for a fine finish .
Wel done.

Nice to see someone actually rebuilding a water pump as opposed to just replacing it. This is the way to do things - 100% top marks

This brings back memories of my father and I repairing the family car in the garage. I didn't enjoy it at the time, but now I miss it. Thank you for the video.

Absolutely fantastic. I love that his bench vise is two of his buddies, and that the overspray from the paint just drifted onto the side of the truck in the background, and that when the seal didn't fit, there was no pause in the work--just get the torch! LOVE IT!!!

Jeez, I'd love to grab you guys and transport you to a modern, well-equipped workshop and see just how much better you could be. I really am humbled by what you achieve with so little. You should feel very proud of yourselves because I know I am. Well done guys

After watching many time lapse videos of US big blocks rebuilds in sterile workshops with the latest and greatest full-auto equipment and computer supported tuning, this video made me smile from ear to ear 😁!! Honest hard manual work outside on a classic English engine... I really enjoyed watching this vid, job well done!
It made me think of dismantling my Triumph T140E engine in my shed...

This brings back memories of repairing my first cars engine. No engine stand, bench or even a workshop, just basic hand tools. Looks primitive, but it works with these simple engines. Having those engine remanufacturer tools at the end were a luxury I never had.

I loved working on these motors back in the days when you modified your engines for more HP all by yourself. It was fun.

This is an engine that I could easily O/H since I am familiar with all its principles. At 92, this age mechanical
tech is right up my alley!

I enjoy all videos on engine rebuilding, but the videos like this one tell me that rebuilding an engine is easier than I thought. Thank you for the video.

Looks good. I do have one warning though.
On rod and main bearings..
NEVER put oil on the side that does not have a a rotating surface.
Such as when you go to install your crank and rod bearings, they need to be DRY.
It can cause you to spin a bearing because the excess oil can force the bearing away from its mounting surface.
Speaking from past experience.
:)

Great Job!! Definitely as thorough as they could have been with what they have, and they even honed the block, new bearings etc they have come a long way and improved a lot

It’s fun watching people work on these smaller engines

Back in the mid-60s when I moved to Texas had a girlfriend whose dad was a church of Christ preacher. He had a couple of Morris minors that he enjoyed rehabbing. Watched him go through the engine on one of them and at the time I kind of chuckled because I was running a big Chrysler V8. I thought his engine looked like the starter on my car. His cars are probably still running. Mines probably been scrapped, put on a steamer to Japan rebuilt into a new car, worn out shipped back remelted into yet another new car. Enjoyed the video!

Nice restoration. And thanks for using ambient sound and not some horrible musical track over it. Keep up the great work.
