Obvious fact that you probably know: Cheetahs dont roar! They "meow" just like pet cats, and the reason why they dont growl its because the bones of the cheetahs voice box form a fixed structure, with divided vocal cords that vibrate with both in and out breaths, While this design enables this cats to purr continously, it limits the range of other sounds and prevents them from being able to roar
