I worked for a company, we developed closed die warm forging, we made bevel pinions, sliding clutch gears, coal picks. All went down the pan early 90's, no investment in UK industry.

You forgot to mention Hot forging is EXPENSIVE AF! The other two are MUCH cheaper.
