How to run PHP code in PC? Windows, Linux, Ubuntu or MAC OS - all need a PHP web development environment to run PHP scripts. PHP scripts are placed in files with php extension. Files with PHP extensions can not run in web browser directly. But when a web server or local server or local host or local web server is installed in PC (Windows, MAC, Linux, Ubuntu), it enables you to browse files places in web server over http protocol via localhost address.
