This tutorial is outdated or perhaps it never worked. The mentioned directories do not exist.

if you get errors after these steps you need to do 2 things.

chown -R www-data:www-data /new/data/directory/data

then sudo nano and save a blank file.

disable maintenance mode and wait a few min. then reboot the page.

Your data directory is invalid

Ensure there is a file called ".ocdata" in the root of the data directory.

Does anyone know the commands to accomplish this via the Jail Shell in TrueNAS? I can't get these commands to work. Getting " NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY"

Hello, thanks for sharing. You could answer a question if you can. I have a home server and I'm testing NextCloud. It has the KDE Neon operating system installed in HD, and two more HDs in Raid1 with zfs. I wanted to put the nextcloud data directory, this is the place where all the saved files will be placed, and it will not be possible to place zfs. How to make the nextcloud understand which file folders are now on another HD. I tried some tutorials, dumb or database within the config.php configuration and the same error. I installed the nextcloud via snap and then tried it with a docker. Update if you can help ... thanks.

Did it this way, can load everything just fine, can also change apps and make new users, but now i cannot upload any files anymore to my database. download still works but I cant upload anything. :( Have no clue whats going on. It just sais: "An unknown error has occurred"

I use docker and mounted an external USB drive btrfs into my container and moved the database to there. Everything worked fine but this upload thing makes the point of a cloud kinda useless. Any ideas or solutions?
