I have Parasound Halo, Kef R series, LS 50s and Marantz as well and I think they are a very good match. I noticed that Kef often uses Halo amps to demo even their very expensive Blade speakers. I have watched some of you other videos and regarding your comparison between the LS50s and R300, I noticed the same differences you explained. I have the R900s instead of the R300s, but the mid/tweeter is the same. Your analysis is excellent in the comparison.

Hi Tharbamar, I realise this is an old video, but it makes me wonder why you moved from separate Parasound preamp and power amp (with consideration at the time to even go the dual monoblock route) back to your integrated Denon amp? Many audiophiles tend to go in the opposite direction, for better or worse.

Very well thought out system! very jealous of your parasound pre-amp, maybe with enough saving i could get one some day! are you backing up the bottom end of the LS50s with a sub? seems like a pretty ideal room for a small sub. Need to treat my room with some panels, lots of early refractions. i also enjoyed your video on usb buffers. i agree that going from vinyl or sacd to digital is good for little else than background music. keep the vids coming! good work.

You have come a long way since your video on the Teac turntable. I'm surprised you didn't keep the Focal 836V speakers. If you don't mind sharing, what were the reason(s) you didn't keep them. You made a wise choice on the Denon DP-47F turntable. Looks like your system is complete, and one piece is still missing. I would upgrade the surge protector for a power conditioner.
