EXTENDED Harry Potter Lore (Part 1)

Although the Harry Potter books and movies were released some time ago, there continues to be an insatiable thirst for more content among fans of all levels.

And while seven core books and eight movies might seem like a lot, it feels considerably less substantial when spread over 27 years—a milestone we’ve just reached, as the first book was published on June 26th, 1997.

Since the last book came out in 2007 we’ve had a few more films and we’ve had scribblings published here and there. We’ve even had a few prequel stories, but for the most part, extended lore pertaining to the Wizarding World is…Somewhat limited.

But that CERTAINLY doesn’t mean there’s nothing. Which is why today I’ve begun to compile a list of ALL JK Rowling certified and published secondary content. If you think you know the world of Harry Potter now, well..You’re about to get to know it a lot better.

Let’s dive in.

Does the title of this video clearly show what the video is about? Had a bit of trouble with titling this one. Let me know!

Random fact: did you know that 9 and 3/4 is also 39/4? It is one of the only fractions that uses the same digits in both its simplified form and its imperfect form.

I wish we saw or read about the Hufflepuff common room. They are VERY underrated. This is coming from a Ravenclaw. Great video. Will be watching all five parts.

I love the idea that Hogwarts serves as a magical creature preserve. No wonder Hagrid was able to get such interesting creatures for his lessons.

I think they may have used the canals prior to the Hogwarts express. Kind of like how the ship from Durmstrang arrived at Hogwarts for the Tri Wizard tournament in the goblet of fire.

Did you ever wonder why Albus Dumbledore, a student of Flamel, lived as long as he did when compared to other magicals? Several commented about his very long life as if it were odd, or joked about it. One could notice that the Black family, as well as the Potters, died in their seventies and eighties. It makes one wonder if Dumbledore didn't know the secret to brewing the Panacea, which Flamel would have sought to create along with the stone.

Here is something for you. Platform 9¾ is just an Ironwought metal barrier disguised as bricks, it takes 9 hours to get to Hogwarts with at least 3 frequents stops and the train is in fact, a Funicular cable car that consists of old trams that are locked together to be magically extended to fit all 336 passengers on board. It follows a route of the old forgotten tracks that has been long abandoned since the early 19th century. Not only that, the track is a single long line that is constantly elevated that can help it travel across any type of terrain. Also, there is a very powerful enchantments in the area to keep people away, muggle or not. The train will only reveal itself to those who have bee invited to attend school. It was part of the plan that the Ministry of Magic came up with in 1827 to avoid suspicion or preying eyes.
I seen this the other day on one of the sites, and it is quite interesting to expand on the lore.

The other Red vs White could be ref to the Lancaster and York houses. Hagrid definitely has a northern accent, while Dumbledore does not.

Having Founder statues select students would have been awesome. Definitely the superior idea.

This might be the best of your videos yet!

I always thought the Door to the DADA room was a horcrux, thus Tom coming back one last time and making it. Hence why all the teachers are cursed who take that position.

The thing which always bothered me about the hogwarts express ride from London is, say for example you were a young witch/wizard who lived in Newcastle in the far north of England do you then have to travel all the way to London to only then have to double back on yourself on the train? 🤔

One thing not mentioned in the video is that Rowling actually did end up using the statue selection process for Ilvermorny.

We know where Muggle born & half blood children when to school before Hogwarts, but where did pure bloods go to school from approx 5 years old until they went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?

I hope that they follow the books but there has been a lot of extended "cannon" that has been released that they could explore. It could be a good time.

Ok, I'm going to post here too. FUN question. If Tom Riddle was taught at Hogwarts, he knows about life after death. The Ghosts are afraid to go on, so he knows there is an "on". He also should have been taught about the consequences of trying to cheat death. If Tom knew about life after death, what was he afraid of? So, some say he was never taught about this and was afraid. Since Dumbledore and Dibbet (Headmaster) took Tom into Hogwarts, and Dumbledore obviously sees that Tom is troubled. You would think that Defense against the Dark Arts would teach their students about the consequences of performing these dark magics. With a search for immortality being a "Reason" for dark magic, one would think that would be covered. So either Tom wasn't taught any history or ethics or consequences of his actions, or Dumbledore and Dibbet knowingly released a powerful, newly trained psychopath. Either way, they should have both been thrown into Azkaban. So either a huge plot hole, or Dumbledore was the most incompetent teacher in the history of Hogwarts.

March 1 1692 The Salem witch trials begin in Salem Village, Massachusetts Bay Colony, with the charging of 3 women with witchcraft. Tituba, a slave owned by Samuel Parris, is the first to be arrested, and she implicates Sarah Good and Sarah Osborne, who are arrested later in the day.

Fanon trumps source material
Yet fanon hasn't won any major awards like the Hugo's
But HarryPotter the source material did win many prestigious awards and Hugo's
doesn't Trump canon or the Orginal source material. How can any self respecting wizarding world harry potter fan believe this ?
