Good lord. Clueless herd-thinkers parroting the anti-WHO rhetoric. For argument's sake, let's say that China's large contribution to the WHO does imply they have a stake in WHO policy. It doesn't matter - WHO is still an *international* organization, with international controls, and the primary goal of fighting outbreaks. We all benefit. I want an independent Taiwan just as much as you guys do - but axing US WHO funding is like shooting yourself in the foot, or juggling a grenade, to intimidate your enemy. It's stupid and self-damaging. If the US wants to assert Taiwanese independence later on, *great*! There are other ways to do it. If China doesn't like being coerced, and threatens to withdraw their funding, they will in turn be shooting themselves in the foot.
Stop encouraging senseless posturing! Find better solutions.
