English people are mixed with both German and Celt

43% Germanic on average. The east is way more Germanic and in Yorkshire and Lancshire there is a great deal of Danish and Norwegian blood. English culture and tongue are nearly fully germanic, not much celtic.

The English are a variable mix of native "Celtic Briton" and Germanic tribes. But the average English person is only ~30% Germanic and it peaks in East Anglia while it greatly diminishes the further West.

To be fair, West-Europe in general is genetically really close to each other.

Anglo-Saxon was very close to Friesian. It's still spoken in a few areas of the Netherlands. But I would go with Germanic.

Its all factually wrong, English may be closer to the Germanic people, but the next closest are the Welsh, who you don't mention, the Scots and Irish are more distant.

Emilia Clarke has a trace of non European lineage from India. I guess from her Grandmother or great grandmother's father who was an Indian.
However, other English people truely have closer genetic link to the scottish, the irish, the Danes and even the Dutch.

I’m English/welch from Gloucestershire and have more Celtic dna than Germanic! There is evidence of germanic people being in Britain before the Romans which makes sense because they found a boat called the dover boat one of the oldest boats in the world so they were in contact and trading!

And the problem… the Dutch is Germanic🌞

Irish?? The Celtic Britons were Brythonic - ancestors of modern day Welsh.
Nothing to do with the Irish who are Gaels / Goidelic.

Well that’s because the Angles, Saxons and Juts crossed the English Channel from the continent at the span of coastline going from Denmark south along Germany’s northern coast and then westward across the northern coasts of Holland and Belgium.
