We can start both treatment for now, except for cases of meningitis of any sort... according to the new protocol

No you can't hold patient for 2 to 8 weeks in any circumstances you have to start ART within 4 weeks and in PTB should not wait more than 2 weeks. Bcoz nowadays we follow test and treat guideline. Must check for 4S symptoms for any PLHIV (new or old) in every visit at ART centre. And also should start INH preventive therapy in TB negative patient for 6month in every 2year.

If the patient's CD4 <50 then start closer to 2 weeks.
