ARMSTRONG FOILS | NEW HA680 - Comparative review with HA725 & HA925

Hey Guys!

Happy holidays, Stoked to be offering this review of the New HA680 from Armstrong foils. Was excited on this one too, as its a product for use in my favourite Genre, Foil surfing, in particular the connect foil surfing. The new HA range has dropped and smaller sizes are on the way for January 2024 including the HA680 reviewed here, along with the HA780 and HA580.
.
Having spent most of my connect surfing on the original HA range, I offer a comparative review of the HA680 with my most ridden foils, the HA725 and HA925. I am 79kg with a professional sports background.
.
All the footage is from my 3rd session on the HA680. I hope the action provides proof of work for this foil, some subtle, as there are some breeches and tight loops that previously would have spelt trouble for me, oh, and the elusive foam hit 😆
.
I am happy to answer your questions below, fire away! I have since received the HA880 and have had a few sessions on this already at time of writing but not time to include in this review. Do ask if you're curious about the HA880 also.

Dope review. I’ve been riding the 780 w/ dart 140. It’s wicked. I’m 165lbs so may get a 680 for prone/tow ins. Keep the vids coming

Concise, nice! I stared on the CF1600 and remember my first double dip like my first barrel. Can’t wait to prone the HA880 tomorrow for the first time! Winging it was 😍

Shredding! I'm anxious to get to warmer weather in a few weeks and put the 680 and 880 to work. I love Armstrong's constant innovation.

Great reviews! I just want to ask advice. On pumping technique, will taller people benefit because of longer legs and leverage, especially on generating speed in ride? Is it an advantage being a tall on foil pumping?

Nice review thanks. What about the speed compare with the ha 725?

Hey Olly - I'm keen to get on the new HA train. Currently riding an MA1000, but pumping on it sucks. I can connect 2-3 on it at best, but it turns super nicely on the face. I'm 88kgs. Do you reckon the 780 or 880 is the go?

Hi! My go to was HA 725, I m 50kg, winging practice & wing released
do you think I can go for a 780 as my light wind wing / small waves setup, and the 580 > 18 knots / bigger waves, or just one wing quiver : the 680 ?

Hey Olly!! You're killing it! I'm curre tly using CF950 for winging and proning. But I have in the quiver the HA925, MA800 and HA680. Do you think I could switch to the HA680? Enlighten me please! Currently 68kg btw!!

Had fun pumping the 925 but had to focus soooo much on the turns, ……could turn the 725 but could not Connect as many waves and not fun at low speed😅, ….had so much fun surfing the Cf2 950 but could not pump far……..IS THE MAGIG FOIL FOR SURFING THE HA680 or
