Good instructions. This was very helpful. This job is not easy. The issue I had is the lower bolt was stuck and it snapped. Not fun. Had to press in a threaded rod and use a nut for the lower bolt.

Thanks for the video. I removed the wireharness bracket that obstructs the starter from coming out. Much easier going in and out. 12mm bolt at the bottom of he bracket and 12mm nut at the top (bottom of the intake manifold)

Thanks for the video it helped a lot but a couple of things. My knock sensor was 27mm. The bolts holding the starter in were resistant all the way out. The top was easier than the bottom. There's less room to swing a ratchet on the bottom bold. Particularly if you have to extent the handle just to get it to more for the first 10 turns. Bolts were't corded either, just very fine threads that had never been removed in nearly 20 years. The video makes it look like more space than there really is. If you can't get the car on a lift it's a lot harder to reach in there. The wire retainer would not release, had to cut it. You could remove the metal bracket the wires hang on. The bolt is 8mm but extends all the way through the starter so you need space to pull it out. Removing that bracket did make it much easier to maneuver the starter to get it out.

Remove the manifold people it’s the proper way to do the job. You’re gonna spend almost as much time fumbling around with this method on your back as opposed to doing it from the top. Too many variables with this “1 hr method”. Always do repairs by the book.

"Go ahead and take your tool out" -- but not in public!

Nice video but you need to remove both battery cables since you will be removing the positive from the starter. You can see in your video the spark off the wire as you're lowering the starter.

Seems easier than changing on the CR-V.

it is NOT a 28mm Socket for the Sensor

Good video, except for running the bolt in with a power tool. Bad deal.

Easier to just take off the intake manifold
