There's no "rivalry" in fact. The girl doesn't like the bald man on the right, so there's no "triangle love". Just a false "hero" jealous of the other guy, who tries to sabotage the love between the girl and the man on the left, to force her to do what she doesn't want to do. And she's not interested by the throne. Joan of Arc didn't want to be "worshipped", like the English said during her trial to defame her. She simply wanted to be free from the English, and today, Charles III became the king of England. He's the king who needs to be defeated.
