I have Fair credit. My credit score is around 650 and my AmEX Navy Federal credit Union went from $3, 000 to $9, 000 an increase couple of days ago out of nowhere. I was so excited!

As an active duty member, the more rewards is an exceptional card. I applied back in 2022 with a 20, 000 CL, I’ve gotten about 2, 000 every 6 months. I’m currently at 38, 000 CL.

when I joined, I had all the documentation that my grandfather was in a military branch and I was shocked when they didn't even ask me to send in any of the proof

Been member for 3 months, I don't have direct deposit yet and applied for $700.00 Pledge loan 12months $59.00 monthly. I turned around applied for Platinum Credit Card and I got 25, 000.00 credit Limit 12months 0% interest on balance transfer with no fee, 11% after. Not to bad! I'm liking NFCU alot!

I've had the same NF account that my grandparents set up for me as a child and still have that same one now. I applied for my green Cash Rewards card in 21 and was approved for $5, 800 then 3yrs later got approved for $34, 5k loan for my truck in Dec. From Dec to now I've paid almost 40% of the interest off that loan. When Sept comes, I'll be ready to apply for the Platinum card and see what my limit will be on that one. My current score is 672 with an approved credit/loan of $41k so far. ☺️

I agree with all your recommendations, but it is more difficult to do with low income. As usual, it is easier to do everything when you have more money than less. My income is only average at this time.

I wish they would roll out a better intro offer. Currently, they are only offering low apr on balance transfers. While a majority of other lenders are doing 0% intro apr on purchases, AND balance transfers for at least a year if not longer.

0:48 - I have been told by some redditors over the years that i wouldn't qualify - despite my uncle being a vet, a few of my cousins as well, and having friends in military and navy.

None of whom bank with Navy Federal. I took the leap the other day and I was approved for an account with them. They didn't ask for verification other than my ID, and mind you I'm not associated with any branch if service.

I've opened up a flagship checking account, just waiting for my first direct deposit to hit.

Can you have more than one checking account with them under the same login? Cause my current credit union you have to have separate logins.

I wish they did like other lenders where you can see what your CL would be and interest rate before actually submitting a full application.

If you start out with the secured card and it graduated does that count as one of your 3 nfcu cards you can only have in the future?

I said my grandad was in the army… he served Korea. I was approved online. I assume they have a way to check. It’s public record.

I became a member back in July 2024 and was approved for a Visa Platinum card for 25k by September 2024 I waited the 90days but they sent me the application before the 90 days was up. Now I have about five products with them. I’m about to open a pledge loan.

When starting out with Navy Fed, is it best to apply for the Pledge Loan or get a secured card?
