Been banking with Navy Fed since January 2024. Got a 3k pledge loan in March and paid it down 90%. Also have direct deposit and a business account with them. Got a note in mail from them saying I’m prequalified for the platinum card so I applied. My credit score is 680 and I was instantly approved for $20k. Highest card for me this far!

They did not give me much, interest is 18 and limit 5200 with an 800 score lol. I have a 28k card from Wings Financial to compare with a lower rate.

I don't think my credit was good. Fair at best. I was still able to get the credit card and about 4 months later I got a second credit card making a total of just over 30. Needless to say I switched my banking to Navy.

Open checking account (easy checking) credit score 780, applied for flagship CC immediately after opening account and even though it said I was pre approved for any navy fed card, I was still denied. Received denial letter with an internal score of 267. My credit utilization is 1%. (I don’t carry balances ever) I applied for cash reward cc and approved with 500 limit 😑 horrible.
