UK top gear will never be beat, even the Australian version leaves something to be desired, but at least for someone from the US, i can appreciate the US version since they are using cars from or in the US, and Adam Ferrara brings it together, sort of...

i really don't mind top gear USA. it has cars in it so i'm happy. it's a big task to make a format like topgear work especially when the uk version is so brilliant. these guys do a pretty good job in my opiniin

I happened to see the gang when they were in my area for a show. I talked to Rutledge briefly and told him about the hate the US show gets over the UK show. He proceeded to tell me that the guys in the UK are advisors for the US show and like what they are doing. So, no, it isn't the same as the original; however, it does have its merits and it *does* have the blessing of the UK crew.

USA Top Gear reminds me of the dorky siblings of one of the cool kids in school trying to imitate their cool sibling(UK Top Gear) & failing miserably

I'm not certain that I have not made this analogy before, but It's so damn fitting that it's worth repeating.
