I love how there’s always those few people who claim they were “attacked” by an easter egg that’s not even in the game

I remember trying to look for the rat man with some friends online back in the summer of 2008 on GTA IV. I was so convinced it really existed even though the YouTube videos I watched never showed him lol.

GTA3: the trench coat man does randomly attack ppl. He just be throwing punches. Idk if that’s a glitch but he does attack random people if close to him.

There is an npc in San Andreas that occasionally says Kifflom. It’s the blond hiker npc and I always see him near the airport in los santos

Fun thing is that every GTA actually has a serialkiller… The protagonist.

What people forget is that CJ also loses health when hungry, and keeping the game running for an IRL night is equivalent to CJ not eating for like, a month in game. So ofc he is in hospital XD.

If anyone wants calculations : each irl minute is treated as an hour in game, so a GTA day ends up being 24min each. Assuming a night time of 8hrs irl, it equates to 480min of irl time (8hrs x 60minutes/hr). Dividing 480 by 24 gives us 20 days. So CJ is hungry for 20 days if someone left their game running overnight.

I’m dying for more creepy myths in gta 6. There’s just something so nostalgic about the investigation

Back in the day it was fun talking the GTA myths with friends at school because it was at that time when we didn't use the internet as much and we just had to take people's word on what they saw. It was always somebody's cousin who claimed to have seen Bigfoot in San Andreas 😅

I like how after awhile, Niko Bellic himself became an Urban Legend in GTA V. People saying they've seen him walking around, seen him with Packie robbing the store if you get to him at just the right time, secret conversations mentioning him, actual conversations, mug shots, social accounts, clothing items like his supposed jacket in one of the bars. And hidden character files.

I do love how wacky their easter eggs get, like it's not just all predictable references like Scarface, the Godfather, but rather, weird crap like Aliens, ghosts, bigfoot, or strange locations like the beating heart in the Statue of Liberty. I also miss a lot of these older mysteries, as recent data miners who go through the files often take away a lot of the fun speculation, while saving a lot of time that you could have "Wasted" looking for it, there was just something cool about looking for it yourself, or hearing rumors from friends, made a game feel a lot larger than it was by trying to uncover secrets that most people might not know about. Now it's like "I swear I saw X while playing" then "Data miners dug through and its not real" just ends it.

am I tripping or did he forget to mention the Statue of Happiness’ literal 20 foot chained up pulsating heart in GTA IV that has got to be the scariest thing i’ve ever seen in my life

Fun fact: The Eddie Low secret you talked about at 37:58 technically doesn't end there. In GTA 5, as Trevor if you stay in his Bodhi offroader while driving around in the desert, you can occasionally hear transcripts & conversations through the radio. One of these will have a truck driver named Eddie Low start talking, & after saying his name to the person on the other end they'll ask him if he's the serial killer Eddie Low, to which the man responds he isn't & that it's disrespectful to assume. They go back & forth a little longer. Honestly it was a pretty cool & very easy-to-miss thing they included to reference an already easy-to-miss side character in GTA 4.

Edit: 1:13:32 this is NOT an Easter egg, although I don't blame you for thinking it is because it's the common assumption. This is actually a quite common bug with NPCs & raised balcony's or floors, for some reason the AI just bugs out & kills the NPC because it's not sure how the NPC can get down. You can see this exact thing with the second floor of a plaza in Vespucci across the street from a construction site, if you bump into the NPCs they die instantly & if you scare them they will run back & forth on the roof not knowing how to get down or what to do.

It’s weird to me that GTA has always be controversial for violence but I’ve never heard about Eddie Low.

Eddie low is sort of in rdr2 and that character is named Edmund Lowry Jr and he is also a serial killer, you can find him after piecing together notes found throughout the map next to a gory scene which leads to where he is and I won’t spoil the rest

The suicidal npcs actually refer to various NPCs mainly a particular woman who has a mental breakdown upon being attacked and will say very dark things mainly indicating she wants to take her own life.

The NPCs that fall off buildings and are often heard screaming are NPCs that spawned either ontop of a building and don't have proper pathing or they just simply fall through the map.

I remember looking with my cousin for the cave with a horror clown in there in gta sa, we’ve found the cave but there was no clown. We tried it at different times but he still didn’t spawn. Good times
