People thinking this is boring simply need to look down. The purpose of the drum performance isn't to be entertaining to watch, the visual stimulus is already there. He is clearly incredibly focused on what he's doing and doing it well. Any good musician will tell you that one of the things you need to learn is when to back off and not play to leave place for the performance and that's what he's doing. He's not supposed to be the star of the show, even though he's incredibly talented, he's the backbone of it.

When you play a show, can the audience visually see you? If you are seen I can see why you have to wear the outfit and paint your forehead.

A little touring circus in Vermont called Circus Smirkus has a great drummer that is the backbone of the show… one of the coolest jobs… constantly adding in fills to accent the performers.

I've been to two Cirque du Soleil shows in the past 20 years and I gotta say, the music was always on point both shows. This cat has it dialed in.

I wonder if this dude ever played with Gina Gleason(from Baroness). I know she played guitar for Cirque de Soleil in some capacity.

Trying to come up with a figure ($$$) that could make me dress like a princess with clown makeup. More needed if I gotta go into public. Fat numbers plus a bunch of 000’s. Nope, not enough.

Self taught drummers don't need a metronome. To each his own I guess.
