Comment below your favorite Costco bargain that you scored this month ALSO: If the audio sounds a little bit off, my mic broke halfway through recording, so i had to use a different one 😂

Anchovy tabs make it easier to cook umami soups. Soups like Miso soup and Doenjjang jigae (Korean soy bean soup) start by boiling water with dried anchovies and/or with konbu (dried seaweed) before throwing in the meats and vegetables. Dried anchovies and konbu are not that accessible unless you have an Asian grocery store nearby. Anchovy tabs will make this soup base making easier and accessible.

$90 is not overkill for those of us with Raynaud's syndrome. Thanks for pointing these heated socks out, they'll be going in my cart this week!

I’m home recovering from 2 back surgeries and itching to get to Costco now! Those heated socks will be a great gift for my grandson who is working outside where it is already snowing in the Sierra’s. He says his feet are freezing 😢. Thanks Matt, I just love your Deal Guy videos and sometimes watch them over and over!

I’d like to meet this guy’s mom. She must be a terrific person to have a son like him!

I picked up the “12 days of Christmas” fruit spreads box. We love to try different types of jams and jellies so this is our little treat. And I can repurpose the adorable little jars for crafts, spices, paper clips etc.
I love dual purpose products.
👍❤️

Thanks, Matt! Another great video on Costco. Getting their catalogs in the mail are great; but they don’t hold a candle (pun intended) to your great videos. I watch them all!!! You must be a great source of humor at family gatherings! 😊👍❤️

Also, you didn't show it in this video, but the 2-pk Birdrock emergency aluminum folding shovel is the perfect size to carry in your trunk (for those of us who live in snowy areas). The 2 pk is $29.99

Anchovy broth is widely used in China Japan and South Korea. So if you are making noodle dishes or stir fries and you want the right broth to be authentic you would use anchovy broth which, you would normally need to make from freeze dried anchovies that do not look like the ones that come in a can to put on top of pizza. They're very tiny and you have to cook them and strain it and so on and so forth which takes a good amount of time. That it comes in a capsule that makes instant anchovy broth is amazing!! I make Korean in Japanese food all the time and I have never seen that That's very exciting!!
So if you have some ramen and you want to kick it up a notch instead of using that sodium laden stuff that comes in the little box with it, don't use that and use this inch of a bra or any other noodle dish whether you using fresh noodles which would be wonderful, like udon or maybe you are using rice noodles.
That's a wonderful find!
👍👍👍

Anchovy soup base is the main salting and umami agent for ramen and korean soups when it’s not ‘shoyu’ soy sauce, which is salty enough, but not as flavorful; it’s used similarly to how worcestershire sauce uses some fish

I made korea tofu and brisket stew the other day and did the traditional way of dry toasting dried anchovies and sacheting them into the water as it stews

Those chicken pot pies used to be $18.99. Now they are $28! Holy cow! I could barely justify them back then, but really can’t justify buying one now!

In September, Costco had something I had NEVER seen! Twin size sheet sets! They come with TWO pillow cases, and fit 14 inch deep mattresses! They come in 4 patterns, and feel decadent. Amazing! Twin sheets at Costco!!! On sale at $11.99 a set!! Wow!

12:40 Those Snow Trax really work. I live in Colorado and often have an icy (and sloped) driveway. I started using Snow Trax last winter.
