How abundantly blessed we are to know all that we know because we have Joseph Smith, the prophet of this last dispensation of time.

One month ago he couldn't read the teleprompter, now he looks once again at the face of his beloved wife. What a great and poetic talk he gave as his last address to the saints.

The title of this talk is the title of my favorite hymn. I think this topic was perfect for President Ballard's last address to the church. Rest in peace, President Ballard. We love you and miss you very much.

This was his last conference talk.

When I heard him give it at Conference, I felt thar he was not much longer going to be with us.

I was saddened for that, for I have always loved listening to President Ballard, but then I became very happy, as I knew that he was very shortly going to see and be with his beloved wife again, as well as be able to give an honest and faithful accounting to his Great Great Grandfather and Great Great Uncle, that he was true and faithful in all things which the Lord his God Commanded him.

I know Elder Ballard was a true Apostle of Jesus Christ, and that his service has been accepted of the Lord.

I had a breakfast today with a recent convert brother, a lifelong member sister, her nonmember husband, and four wonderful missionary Elders.

We watched the morning session in Spanish, and when Elder Ballard gave his testimony the room went quiet, and we all suddenly spoke in hushed tones.

The Spirit was strong, the peace was palpable.

I'm not LDS anymore, but I love this man. His talks always stuck with me. Getting old and dying is a sad part of life.
