"We´ll catch a plane to New York and a cab going down across the bridges (beep beep) and tunnels STRAIGHT! INTO! TOWN!" This is such an amzing line! It´s pure escapism and abandon. Those backwards hits emphasize the EXCITEMENT of running away in style to NYC of the decadent 80´s (to go shopping and clubbing I guess...cause he´s "got enough money to pay on the way").

What a way to open your first album, what a way to start your carreer!

I still know exactly where I was, when I heard that song for the first time, and I knew there and then that PSB were amazing.
Neil can claim it´s a song about a politician and his mistress...but we all KNEW in our hearts that it´s a song about running away from being OUTED!
