I'm coming up on my first year with my IoniQ 5 and love it more now than I did when I first got it. I attribute that to understanding more about it from watching your videos Bjorn. Thanks for this drop.

Thank you very much for your hard work: I have been waiting for you to test this car! Will you be livestreaming 1000km challenge?

I bought Ioniq5 2021 after Bjorn review and still very happy with it. I do not miss rear wiper the only thing I miss is a manual heating button for battery.

N-Line trim that removes the silver/black trims on the sides look so much better than normal IONIQ 5. Love it!

I just got a 2024 base model and am enjoying it a lot. Small battery, but I average driving 100 miles per month. I charge level one at home. It's my first EV.

0:40 ooo the new VikingContact 8? That's likely the new best winter tire period, especially given how the VikingContact 7 was already class leading. Cool to see them already putting them on cars.

I wonder how much better it would do in a version with 19” wheels. The difference in range estimates between 19” and 20” models is quite significant

Sad to see Hyundai providing 20 inch wheels. My Ioniq5 got almost 50km more range by replacing 20 inch with 235 55 r19 on semiforged rims. Naturally, as each wheel is more than 5kg lighter reducing rotationenergy significantly.
Fantastic car btw

Ive had my n line s rwd a month now in uk, i was getting 3.7 miles per kwh a month ago but more recently since weather is getting colder is now around 5 degrees Celsius over night and around 11 degrees in day, im now only getting 2.3 miles per kwh.
Still super happy with the car, its amazing and a full charge only costs £7

I wonder why the car makers always lend the fancy version with AWD and big wheels. I mean, yes, it is kind of the top of the line. But when someone tries to test the range, or 1000km challenge, I'd say a RWD with small wheels would get better results.

And indeed, it is the version I got (base spec, RWD, small wheels, big battery). I bought it 2 months before the new version with 84kWh battery and rear wiper was introduced… and I'm missing the rear wiper a bit more than the bigger battery, but I got it a bit cheaper (it was sitting in the dealership for a while and they wanted to get rid of it before the new version arrives).

Hello Björn,
I have been driving the EV6 for 60, 000km and have some interesting information for you about using the all-wheel drive in the different driving modes.
When you tested the modes, you drove with the HDA, the highway assistant, so I couldn't see whether you had activated the highest recuperation level IPedal. Because IPedal always uses all-wheel drive. If you have selected a different level, e.g. levels 1-3, the all-wheel drive will not be used in ECO mode, even if you recuperate.
In this respect, it makes a difference whether you drive the 1, 000km in normal or eco mode, as the all-wheel drive is used more in normal mode.
However, my consumption tests showed that you only notice a noticeable difference from mor than 5% at speeds above 130km/h, which you are not driving. I hope the information helps you.
Many greetings Dirk

Can’t believe the navigation is still so laggy on that one! It hasn’t improved almost at all from the regular Ioniq 4 years ago :(

Doesn't using iPedal increase consumption? Because at least on my ev6, when using Ipedal (max regen) it uses much more front motor. When using other regen modes the car is much more in rwd only. I have noticed considerable difference in consumption when I started to use regen level 1 or 2 on highways

Ionic 5 'Rallye' Edition - all the performance but standard or lightweighted (no a/c, no electric windows etc)

I had a 306 GTI 6 & a 306 Rallye.. Rallye was more fun after removing the horrible sticker... picking up my 'Ionic 5 N' in 3-4 weeks.
