This edit is perfect! It shows the truth of the story, that’s it’s not a romance, it’s about a girl being groomed and SA’d by a horrible man. Such a great movie, but so tragic. He ruined her life, and she died too young after having her innocence robbed from her over and over. 💔

This movie plays a real phycological trick on the viewers by putting it in humberts perspective, that's why you have to be mature enough to understand it.

I hate how there is people who romantize this movie, this is not romantic at all, Dolores was a KID stuck in the hands of a monster, all the scenes were she "seduces" Humbert were all on his head. I'm sure the scenes on this edit were all she how actually acted all along, she was hurt, with nowhere to go, being abused by someone who should protect her.

I remember reading the book…I find the 90s film much better than the 60s one because it’s harder to watch. This really shows the pain and further extent of the abuse Dolores was put through, and Swain was brilliant. Although I wish Rita was included in the movie.
