22R Toyota Full Build

We were privelaged enough to take on another awesome build owned by Kenny Alvarez. His all original 1982 Toyota SR5 Pickup. Also the owner of an absolute pristine TE27 Corolla we built, well put some previous footage together of his amazing 73 corolla as well.

We pretty much did a full build on his 82 Toyota Pickup. .040 over 11:1 Traum pistons, Eagle connecting rods, fully blue printed and balanced assembly. 45 DCOE webers with a cannon intake manifold, Custom made camshaft, fully ported and polished cylinder head. All Funneled into a 4 into 1 304 stainless header, to 2.5 inch stainless exhaust.

I had a 78 celica with a single .45 dcoe headers Isky 269 lift cam 3” pipe to the back no cat, it was a All this in 81-82.

Super nice truck dude. Excellent job. My first truck was a 1994 Yoda with the 22re motor. That was the best truck I ever had.

Very sweet build. I love that little 4banger❤️. I built a 1776 motor for my ‘71VW Bus and drove it 12yrs. It would fly @75-80mph in 4th up to Reno.

My 81’ longbed with the 22R is in the garage so i can start the rebuild. Going 40 over as well and going to add a turbo. The side draft webbers are badass and sound so good.
